PROJECT TITLE: Railroad Wireless Communications and Train Control

PROJECT OBJECTIVE(S) The focus of this agreement is to support the technology development needs of the users of train control systems and applications that use the railroad wireless communication networks. The RRF and FRA, through this cooperative agreement, will pursue research, development, and testing of communications-based train control (CBTC) and wireless communications systems, with the goal of improving efficiency and safety throughout the railroad industry.
